James F. Busse age 71 of Rochelle, IL, died Saturday Dec. 13, 2014 at OSF St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford, IL.
James Frederick Busse was born on September 13, 1943 in Oak Park, IL the son of the late Frederick and Evelyn Seaman Busse. On November 21, 1980 in Moline, IL, James was united in marriage to Julia Heatherington. He lived in Twin Lakes, WI, Sycamore, IL and Sandy, Utah before moving to Rochelle in 1990.
James served in the US Army as a Sp5 from February 16, 1966 until discharge on May 27, 1967. He served in Germany. He worked in quality control for the Du Pex Products Co.
James was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rochelle, the American Legion Post #403 in Rochelle where he was Past Commander. He also was a member of the Kiwanis where he was Post Past President and was secretary at the time of his death. He was also secretary of the Rochelle War Memorial committee. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, camping and computors, doing websites for local businesses and organizations.
James is survived by: His wife-Julia; 1 son-Gene Busse and 1 granddaughter-Ivy Rose.
Memorial services will be held at 11AM Friday Dec. 19, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1415 10th Ave. Rochelle, IL. Visitation from 10AM until 11AM at the Church.
