Lake Geneva: James G. Butzen, 75; of N2020 County Road H Lake Geneva, WI died Saturday September 20, 2014 at East Troy Manor Nursing Home East Troy, WI. He was born March 26, 1939 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Charles W. and Irene M. (Kaminski) Butzen. He was united in marriage to the former Geraldine "Geri" E. Szpak on November 5, 1960 in Chicago, IL. James served in the US Army from 1962 until 1964. He was employed as a systems analyst for over 15 years with Sta-Rite Corporation of Delavan, WI and worked security for Abbey Springs for over 20 years retiring in 2008. He was a former Boy Scout leader and coached little league baseball. He enjoyed gardening, biking, golf and jig-saw puzzles. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geri, Three sons; Steven (Julie) Butzen of New Berlin, WI, Robert Butzen and James (Pamela) Butzen both of Elkhorn, WI. Four Grandchildren; Steven, Hunter, Rachael and Katherine Butzen and further survived by many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Raymond Butzen and his daughter-in-law Kelly. Funeral service will be 8:00 PM Monday September 29, 2014 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Burial with military honors will be 9:00 AM Tuesday at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery Union Grove, WI. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 PM until time of service.
