Obituary

James L. Freyermuth age 67 of Burlington, WI (Town of Randall) died Monday afternoon Sept. 22, 2014 at the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.
James Lee Freyermuth was born on September 23, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of the late Dale and Hazel Kline Freyermuth. On September 8, 2001 in Lake Geneva, WI, James was united in marriage to Thomasine Hylard. He has lived in the area for 35 years.
James joined the U.S. Marine Corps on October 26, 1964 and served as a Sergeant until discharge on October 25, 1967. He served in Viet Nam and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, the sharpshooter Badge, Good conduct medal and a Purple Heart.
James worked as a heavy equipment operator for Lake County Grading Co and Payne and Dolan Co. He was a member of the Operating Engineer Union Local 150 in Chicago and the Twin Lakes American Legion Post #544. He was a diehard Green Bay Packer Fan. He enjoyed farming and gardening and loved cows, steers and chickens. He also enjoyed traveling.
James is survived by: His wife-Thomasine; Children-Philip J. (Cheryl) Freyermuth of Genoa City, WI, Kimberly (Mouhcine) Freyermuth of Chicago, IL, James (Tracy) Walsh of Lake Geneva, WI, Theresa (David) Leyden of Frankfort, IL, Thomas (Barb) Walsh of Beach Park, IL, Daniel (Amy) Lipinski of Nashville, IL; 6 grandchildren-Riley, Jack, Britany, David, Molly and Dylan; 2 sisters-LeAnn Zdanowicz of Desoto, IL and Jeri (Zane) Rogers of Howe, IN.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother-Dennis.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00PM Friday Sept. 26, 2014 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory in Twin Lakes where the American Legion Memorial Services will be held at 7:30PM. Inurnment will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014 at the Southern WI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. For online guestbook: haaselockwoodfhs.com.
