James “Jim” C. Halsey

James"Jim" Craig Halsey passed away on Monday November 17, 2025 following a brief illness at the age of 81. Jim was born in Lake Geneva on April 6, 1944, one of 5 children born to Richard "Dick" and Dora Halsey (nee Teal).

Jim attended Badger High School prior to serving in the U.S. Marines(1961-1966), including 3 tours in Vietnam where he received several commendations and medals. He remained active in veterans' organizations, including Disabled American Veterans, for the remainder of his life.

After discharge from the Marines, he founded and directed a computer services company that helped many small businesses transition from paper to computerized systems. He also worked at the American Motors Proving Grounds and Delco Electronics in Oak Creek. He was an avid golfer and worked at the Lake Lawn Resort pro shop after retirement. Jim married Carol Sagart and they had 3 children. Following a divorce he married Linda Simons (nee Stoflet), on October 22nd, 1986.

In his later years Jim enjoyed gardening and interactions with his children, stepchildren, and grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Dick" Halsey, his mother Dora (nee Teal) Halsey, his former wife Carol(nee Sagart), wife Linda, his sister Mary(Jim) Koutsky, his brother Rich(Gail), and his step grandson Nicholas Simons. He is survived by his brothers Neal (Linda), and Bill (Bonnie), his daughters Cheri(Jim) Warden, Susan, and Angela, his beloved grandchildren Chelsea Warden, Zach Warden, Josh(Destanie) Warden, Rilee Warden, Lauren Warden, Dylan Fox, Talia Fox, Garrett Halsey, Aurora Bauer, and Grace Bauer; his stepdaughter Shelly Cronin, stepson Scott Simons and his daughter Taylor; step grandchildren Bailey, Jack, and Olivia Cronin and Taylor Simons; and great grandson Kylo Bauer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Disabled American Veterans.
