IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Jim"
L. Daily
November 24, 1943 – January 16, 2022
James "Jim" L. Daily, 78 of Lake Geneva, WI, passed peacefully to the Lord Sunday, January 16 after complications from recent illnesses. Jim was born in Dunlap, Illinois to Isla and Leo Daily on November 24, 1943. He grew up on the family farm where he learned the meaning of hard work.
Jim started his sales career as a buyer at Bergner's department store and quickly found his knack for sales. After moving to Carmel, Ind., he joined Panasonic and later moved to Minneapolis, Minn. as Regional Sales Manager.
Jim and Nancy were married August 24, 1996 in Wauconda, Ill. and shortly afterwards moved to the Lake Geneva area to fulfill their desire to have a home in the country. They spent the last 21 years building their dream home together. Jim enjoyed being a part of the community and served on the Town of Geneva board and Police Commission. He was involved with Lake Geneva Rotary, where he met great friends while supporting the community. Upon retirement, he was able to perform his most fulfilling job - driving for VIP Services.
Jim was an avid Notre Dame football fan for many years. He enjoyed Badgers football, along with the Packers. Politics was always a subject he would readily engage in, and he wasn't afraid to express an opinion. This provided for many lively conversations with family and friends. Jim was a sports enthusiast and spent many hours supporting his sons' athletic endeavors - both as a coach and loyal fan. Jim was determined that his sons all have college degrees at Big Ten schools and be prepared for their own successful careers.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Nancy (Moran), and together they created Living Dreams Farm in the Town of Geneva, Wisc. He was a "gentleman farmer" with a passion for tractors of various makes. Jim believed there was always a machine that would get the job done better and faster.
Jim started his family in Peoria with first wife, Eva, and is survived by his sons Mike (Laura), Matt (Megan) and Patrick (Jen) and grandchildren Danielle, Emily, Thomas, Bay, Nathanael and Nadia. He is also survived by His sister Carol (Jack) Begner of Chillicothe, Illinois and his nieces and nephew Deborah, Melissa (Mark), Lucas and Greg (Gina) Begner. Jim was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Isabel.
