Obituary

James (Jim) Albert LeMay, 83, of Janesville, WI passed away on March 31, 2016 at Agrace Hospice in Janesville.  He was born on October 25, 1932 in Shelby Co., TN to the late Charles W. and Gertrude (Morgan) LeMay.  He grew up in the Memphis area and spent over 18 years in the USAF, where he earned a degree in Journalism.   His father was a musician and that talent was passed on to Jim.  He played his guitar, and several other instruments, throughout the world, wherever his life's journey took him.  He married Jean (Bethke Webb) on July 13, 1998 in Nashville, TN.

In 2003 they moved to Janesville, WI. He was a member of the Janesville Senior Center where he met many other musicians that he enjoyed playing music with and he made friendships that extended far beyond just music.  He also loved to fish and he appreciated his fishing buddies who made it possible for him to continue that hobby the last couple years. He was a member of the Millard Community Covenant Church and had an everlasting faith in his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his wife Jean, of Janesville, his daughter Cynthia

(Peter) Hawkes of England, step-children Jeri (John) Henry, of Beaver Dam, Teresa (Jerald) Sells of Alabama, Myra (Bill) Bice of Arkansas, Peter (Kim) Denton of Arizona; grandchildren Tory (Mark) Bolger, step-grandchildren John (Amanda Mersch) Henry, Katie Henry, Samantha and Jewel Sells, Shawn (Allyson) Bice, Craig Bice, Laura Fleener, Joanna Denton, Adam Denton, and step-great-grandchildren John Henry V, Jackson Mersch, Jaima Bice, Michael Farfan, Mia Farfan, Andrew Denton, Adrien Salinas, Anthony Salinas,  and two brothers, Hiram (Jessie) LeMay and Robert LeMay, both in Tennessee. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

A musical celebration of Jim's life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday April 16, 2016 at Millard Community Covenant Church N6713 County Road O Elkhorn, WI.
