Obituary

Jane A Frye,89, of Elkhorn passed peacefully to her eternal home with her daughters by her side on October 28th, 2025. Jane was born on March 22,1936. The daughter of the late Frank C. Wollslair and Lillian (Schultz) Wollslair. She and her seven siblings grew up in Shopiere, WI in the home their parents spent their entire life residing at. She met her future husband while working at Chick's in Clinton, WI, a popular burger place for hanging out with all the 1950's venue of soda fountains and dancing to the jukebox. They were united in marriage on December 3,1955 in Rockford, Illinois and had 65 blessed years together before Gib's passing. They spent their first few years in Sheboygan and having their two daughters before moving to Elkhorn in 1960. They settled into a wonderful neighborhood, became active members of St. John's Lutheran Church up until their passing. After settling her two daughters in school, she began working at John's Bootery in Elkhorn. After many years at The Bootery she moved on to the Walworth County Clerk of Courts until her retirement. Jane loved playing bridge! She belonged to bridge clubs and enjoyed playing with Gib and other couples as well. She loved to play pay me and bunco with friends. She enjoyed numerous family vacations to Florida, Las Vegas and especially visiting beautiful Hawaii on several trips. In her later years she enjoyed quilting with the ladies at St. John's and reading Danielle Steele books. She also loved to bake and did it as long as she was able to. Becoming a grandma and stepping up to a great grandma was probably her biggest joy. She loved seeing them and spending time with them. She was an avid sport spectator for them at many different levels and enjoyed every one of them.

Jane is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Perkins and Renee Maves; sister, Sandra; three brothers, Donald (Dolores) Wollslair, Charles Wollslair and Jerry (Lynn) Wollslair; six grandchildren, Jason (Julie) Milligan, Rachel (Scott) Pappe, Ryan (Jennifer) Milligan, Courtney (Hakim) Biagi, Brittney (Tom) Panfil and Morgan (Luke) Meier and 15 great grandchildren, Tucker, Gracie, Noah (Ashton), Benjamin, Malia, Makayla, Brady, Stella, Jack, Zabian, Zane, Will, Jalen, Lukas and Avery.

Jane is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gilbert; parents, Frank and Lillian Wollslair; sister, Donna Krebs and brothers, Robert and Kenneth Wollslair.
