Janet M. Troyer, 78, of Crystal Lake, IL passed away March 28, 2015 at Golden Years of Walworth with her family at her side after complications of Cancer and Parkinson's.

Born March 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Donald C. and Edna (Hinch) of Lockport, IL.

She was preceded in death by her younger brother, James R. Ferguson in 2006 & friend Jack Doherty in 2012

A retired Registered Nurse for 57 years - she graduated from Presbyterian -St. Luke's Hospital school of Nursing class of 1958, Augustana College with a B.S. in Nursing in 1961.  Moving to California after graduating started a love of travel.  From a nurse on a cruise line in the 60's to playing Santa in Singapore as a good will ambassador in 2003, she covered the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, Europe, Orient, Caribbean, & was especially fond of Greece.  She retired from the McHenry County Visiting Nurse in 2001, she then volunteered at McHenry County Free health clinic till 2011.  A long time member of First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake brought her more volunteer hours and countless friends.

She is survived by her son E. Scott (Nancy) Doherty, and Hogan (the grand dog) of Lake Geneva, WI and her brother Donald (Thelma) Ferguson of Scottsdale, AZ. Nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
