Jean A. Bednarski

Jean Ann Bednarski has gone to be with Jesus.

Jean had many passions: gardening, animals, swimming, and cycling. She even took flying lessons, learning to fly small planes.

She had a special love for Halloween, decorating the yard and handing out tons of candy for Trick or Treat with immense joy and love.

Jean loved to cook and was famous for her pecan snowball cookies. She was vegetarian for most of her life and her love for animals was always foremost.

Jeannie was an outgoing and caring person. You couldn’t go to a mall, walk around the block, or go into a store without Jeannie finding an old friend or making a new one.

She worked in the book industry for decades ending as the assistant to the district manager for Barnes & Noble Wisconsin.

After leaving B&N, she found a place at LotFotL CSA Farm in Elkhorn. There, she made lifelong connections as a laughing, loving friend, always sharing a contagious joy.

Preceding her in death are her father and mother, Willam and Carol, and her sister-in-law, RaeLynn, as well as a lifetime of dogs and cats who made her life rich with unconditional love.

She is remembered by her husband of 49 years, Eugene, and daughter, Brenda and son-in-law, Bob. Also celebrating her warmth and love are her brothers, William and his wife Candy, and James and his wife Chris. Her niece Kayla and nephew William will always have fond memories of Jean and Gene’s house during the holidays.

Jeanie always had a personal relationship with Jesus. One of her favorite soulful images was riding her bike with Jesus on the back, His sandaled feet sticking out as they rode. That’s how we picture her today.
