Jeanette M. Surma: 79, of Elkhorn, WI passed away suddenly and peacefully at her home Wednesday July 18, 2018.  A native of Chicago, IL, Jeannette attended Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Nursing School and graduated as a registered nurse.  Her profession led to her meeting and ultimately marring her future husband John W. Surma on May 16, 1966 in Chicago, IL.  Elkhorn was home, and over the past 45 years, she lived and raised her family there.  Jeannette was a two time cancer survivor.  She loved crafts and was a skilled seamstress, knitter and quilter.  Jeannette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly but have the peace knowing her gentle soul is now with the Lord.  Jeannette will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, John, her two sons John and Tom (Andrea).  She will also be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren, Mateo, Marco and Emilia.
