Jerry Leo Holzer, 87, or Decatur, TN, passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2024 at St. Francis Hospice in Knoxville, TN.

Jerry was the son of the late Clement and Lola Taylor Holzer.  He enjoyed wood working, fishing, and scratching off lottery tickets.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine Holzer.

He is survived by a son; David (Laura) Holzer of Denham Springs, Louisiana; three daughters; Debra (Jim) Schmidt of Madison, Wisconsin; Deanna (David) Mathiak of Rotonda West, Florida, Dawn (Richard) Ward of Decatur, TN; grandchildren; Jennifer (Steve) Wiesmueller, Ethan Mathiak (April Cooper), Michael Ward (Dannica Martin), Tessi (Ryan) Meaux; great grandchildren; Pearl Wiesmueller, Cameron and Lucas Meaux.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday October 12, 2024 in the chapel of Decatur Funeral Home and Cremation Services 163 Arrants Road Decatur, TN.  A funeral will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at 2:00pm at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will take place before the funeral beginning at 1:00pm.  Jerry will be laid to rest following the funeral at Roselawn Memory Gardens.  In liue of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga 200 Central Ave Chattanooga, TN 37403.
