Jerry "Woody" Wood Jr

Jerry "Woody" Wood Jr., 54, of Trevor, WI, passed away on June 21, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loved ones after losing his battle to cancer. He was born on December 3, 1971, in Fayetteville, NC. On June 13, 1998, he married the love of his life, Dawn Puzek, in Waukegan, IL, beginning 28 years of marriage filled with family, friendship, and countless memories.

Woody spent many years working as a bus driver for Dousman Bus Service. The kids could usually count on two things: a stash of candy and a soundtrack of heavy metal music. He was a devoted heavy metal fan who loved attending concerts and sharing his enthusiasm for music with others.

He was a loyal and lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills, hoping to one day see them win a super bowl. Some of his happiest moments were spent "up north" in Montello, WI, surrounded by family and friends. Whether gathered around a campfire, sharing stories, cruising around on the pontoon or simply enjoying each other's company, Woody treasured those times and the people who made them special.

Above all, Woody was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He took great pride in his family and cherished every opportunity to spend time with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Woody is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn; his daughters, Christina (Corey) Riggs, Kelly Wood, and Kristen (Jay) Christian; and his cherished grandchildren, Aiden Iacucci, Jacob Fischer, Brayden Phillips, and Allison Phillips. He is also survived by his sisters, Tracy (Mike) Tomasiewicz, Amanda (Tracy) Moreno, and Brandi Beyer; his mother-in-law, Margaret Puzek; sisters-in-law, Laura (Jim) Wisch and Leslie (Jesse) Fulton; his loyal Rottweiler Jax; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends including his life long friend Ed Browne.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbi Swanson; his brother, Tommy Beyer; and his father-in-law, Donald Puzek.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please check the funeral home's website for updates. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes is honored to serve the Wood family
