Joan L. Campbell age 70 of Elkhorn, WI passed away at Mercy Hospital of Janesville, WI on Saturday October 24, 2015.  Joan was born on November 12, 1944, daughter of the late Rev. Wallace and Frances Christen.  Joan was married to Herbert Lawerence Campbell in April of 1982 at the Como Community Church.   Joan spent much of her time growing up at the Como Community Church and also Millard Church as her father was the Minister of both.  Joan graduated Elkhorn Area High School with the class of 1962; she was a strong advocate for animal rescue and she belonged to the Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals.  Joan loved cooking and fishing, and she also spent her time tutoring young children to become better readers.  Joan is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.  Joan is survived by her 3 step-children; Kriis (Val) Campbell Zeps, Keith (Shelly) Campbell, Kelly Griffeth; and five grand children; Monika Anna Zeps, Jacob and Carly Campbell, and Conner and Brian Griffeth.  A Memorial Service will be held by the family at Millard Community Church at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials in Joan's name be sent to the Lakeland Animal Shelter 216 W.
