Joan F Hinz, age 91, of Twin Lakes, WI passed away on December 25, 2024. She was born on February 22, 1933, the daughter of the late Elmer and Anna (Casperson) Roemke.  On August 23, 1958, she was united in marriage to Wallace Hinz.

During her life, she was a salesclerk at JCPenney and worked at the YMCA in Waukesha for 18 years. She volunteered at Randall School and was known to many 2nd graders as Grandma Joan. She loved children and brought joy into every room she entered. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and watercolors. She was also a wonderful baker, an avid reader, and a book collector.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Wallace Hinz, daughter Susan Hinz, son William "Bill" (Wendy) Hinz, granddaughters Rebecca (Samuel) Buck, Elizabeth Hinz, Catherine Manlolo, and brother Gerald (Virginia) Roemke. Along with her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her sister Jeannette Roemke.

A Memorial Service honoring Joan's life will be held at 10:30 AM, on May 31, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Twin Lakes, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the time of services.   The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to serve the Hinz family.
