Joe Nelson age 23 of Elkhorn, WI died at home on Tuesday July 22, 2025.  Joe was born in Elkhorn, WI on June 4, 2002; the son of Paul and Kris (Antonson) Nelson.  Joe is a 2020 graduate of Elkhorn Area High School; where he then moved onto obtaining two associates degrees from Gateway Technical College, one in business management, and one in supply chain management.  After that, he attended UW Stout and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's in management.  Joe was working his way up the chain as a manager in supply chain solutions with Fastenal.  Joe loved everything involving water-sports; boating in general, he loved fishing, hunting, and just being outdoors.  Growing up, he enjoyed farm work with his grandparents; and has always had a great appreciation for music.  Playing board games or cards games such as Euchre, Sheepshead and Texas Hold 'em with family & friends was also a favorite of his.

Joe is survived by his parents; Paul and Kris; sister; Ava; grandparents; Lyle and Mary Ann Antonson, Gary and Bice Nelson; aunts and uncles; Eric (Juli) Antonson, Kim (Mike) Dion, Al (Katie) Antonson, Michelle (James Cichacki) Bahringer; cousins; Deven, Natalie, Rachel, Joshua, Gabrielle, Ahnna, Nash and Darby; many great aunts and uncles; and many loved family members and friends.

A visitation will take place for Joe at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI on Sunday July 27, 2025 from 4:00PM to 7:00pm.  Overflow parking is accessible at Adam's Electric at 801 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI.  Guests are welcome to park there and make the short walk to the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Patrick's Parish 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI on Monday July 28, 2025 at 11am with cremation to follow.  A short visitation will take place at church before mass beginning at 10:00am.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Parish.
