Obituary

John E. "Jack" McKevett, age 80, of Twin Lakes, WI, died suddenly on Monday November 21, 2016 at the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.

John Edward "Jack" McKevett was born on February 24, 1936 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Eugene and Marie Heuel McKevett.    He lived in Wildwood, IL and Shellknob, MO before moving to Twin Lakes 10 years ago.  Jack served in the U.S. Army for 1959 until discharge in 1961.  He earned an Associate Degree from Wright Jr. College and a Bachelor Degree in Business from Loyola University in Chicago, IL..

Jack worked as an insurance adjustor for the Kemper Insurance Company in Long Grove, IL retiring in 1996.  He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes.  He played piano for a church in Missouri when he lived there.  He was an avid fisherman, played golf and enjoyed snowmobiling.  He was an avid Notre Dame fan, Bears fan and White Sox fan.

Jack is survived by: his longtime companion of 34 years, Dolores L. "Dee" Darsch of Twin Lakes, WI; 5 children, John McKevett of Chicago, IL, Kenneth (Ann) McKevett of Wildwood, IL, Kelly (Scott) Buchman of Grayslake, IL, Kevin (Maryann) McKevett of Antioch, IL and Kerry (Tom Keil) McKevett of Antioch, IL; 7 grandchildren-Kaley Buchman, Chiann McKevett, Logan McKevett, Kendall Buchman, Maddy McKevett, Kyle McKevett and Megan McKevett.  Jack was very close to many nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by 1 brother, Tom McKevett.

The McKevett Family will receive friends on Friday Nov. 25, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes from 3:00PM until Prayers at 5:30PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00PM Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 701 N.
