John "Ted" L. Kemp age 85 from Elkhorn, WI died on May 10, 2025 with his family by his side.  Ted was born on October 29, 1939, son of the late Shelby and Lillian Kemp. On April 28, 1961, Ted married Judith Lasch in Chicago, IL. Together they raised their family and ran their automotive repair business, Kemp's Automotive, in Elkhorn, WI.  Along with the automotive work, Ted had a love for farming, where he raised veal calves, hogs, beef cattle, and chickens.  He had a great love for his family, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. When he wasn't farming or repairing a car, he enjoyed spending his free time on the water fishing. Ted is survived by his children; Jeffrey Kemp, Steven (Kimberly) Kemp, Michelle (Gregory) Gillaspy, and Mark Kemp; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 nephew; and 1 niece. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; and siblings, Clydine, Nadine, Dee, and Bob.

A funeral for Ted will take place at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI at 3:00pm on Saturday May 17, 2025.
