John Stephen Moretz, age 80 of Silver Lake, WI, died February 27, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 15, 1943, the son of the late John and Frances (Eisenhour) Moretz. On August 1, 1965, in Brevard, North Carolina he was united in marriage to Gail Owen. He worked for many years for Olin Corporation and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

During his life he was an avid golfer and loved to go fishing and boating. He loved to restore older cars and took great pride in his restored Plymouth Hemi Cuda and Kit Cars he built. NASCAR was also a passion especially cheering on Richard Petty.

Steve is survived by his wife Gail and son, Joseph Moretz. He is further survived by his sister Sandra (Myron) Bishop. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Moretz.

Committal Services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday March 5, 2024, at 10:00AM at the Southeastern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Twin Lakes, WI is honored to serve the Moretz family.
