John Pavasars passed away quietly on May 2, 2016, at his beloved home on Pleasant Lake in East Troy, Wisconsin. Born in Liepaja, Latvia on March 20, 1941, his family emigrated to the US. He was a graduate of Lane Tech High School, the University of Chicago, the University of Minnesota, and a member of the Latvian korporacija (fraternity) Gersicania. John is survived by his wife of 51 years Vallija T. Pavasars and family in Latvia. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
