John E. Samuelson, age 91, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. The son of the late Evert and Judith Samuelson was born on June 11, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. During his lifetime, John proudly and honorably served in the United States Army as a corporal in the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Beverly, on May 26, 1956 and were blessed with 68 years of marriage together. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandpa. He was a construction superintendent and worked for Campbell Laurie Lautermilk for 20 years and Camosy Construction Inc. for an additional 20 years before retiring. John loved traveling, family vacations, hunting, fishing, and wintering in Melbourne, Florida.  He will be missed deeply by his loving family.

John is survived by his wife; Beverly (Loomer) Samuelson, three children; Ann (James) White, Kathy (Mark) Simes, Mike (Jennifer) Samuelson, nine grandchildren; Derek (Kaitlin) White, Drew (Casey) White, Allison (Nick) Friberg, Matthew (Katie) Simes, Nicholas (Kacy) Simes, Ryan, Olivia, Brooke and Paige Samuelson and ten great-grandchildren; Dekker, Bodie, Sutton, Beckett and Brooks White, Lucy and Hazel Friberg, Taylor and Molly Jo Simes and Reid Samuelson. He is preceded in death by his parents; Evert and Judith Samuelson and sister; Marie Moore.

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Rd, Elkhorn, WI, 53121 at 11:00AM. A visitation will take place at church from 9:00 AM until the time of service with Pastor Dick Inglett officiating the service. A luncheon at the church will immediately follow the burial.
