John F. Strike Sr, 77 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI.  He was born January 30, 1939 the son of the late John W. and Carolyn (Bodnar) Strike.  John served in the United States Air Force from January 14, 1957 to January 13, 1961.  He was united in marriage to Mary Miottel on October 1, 1994 in Racine, WI.  He retired from Tri-Clover in Pleasant Prairie, WI.  He volunteered on the Fire Department in Caledonia and Somers.  John served as Constable in the Town of Somers, WI.  He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church in Elkhorn, WI.  John was a lifetime member of VFW and the American Legion of Burlington.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He was able to fulfill his life-long dream of seeing the Cubs win the World Series.

John is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mary; two children, John (Cheryl) Strike Jr. of Northfield, MN and Carrie (Don) Tingwald of Minocqua, WI; four step-children, Mary Beth (Gene) Miller of Athens, WI, Joseph (Julie) D'Acquisto of Wausau, WI, Jane (Randy) Detert of Merrill, WI and Diana D'Acquisto of Wausau, WI; 11 grandchildren: Kyle, Heidi, Cameron, Sara, Erin, Casey, Kristin, Daniel, Annie Mae, John and Jeffery; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Donna) Strike, sister, JoAnn Anderson, his niece, nephews and dear friend, Julie Mermal.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service 12:00PM (Noon) on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Southern Wisconsin's Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St. Union Grove, WI 53182 with military honors.
