Jose C. Fonseca, age 86, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 24,1938 in San Jose de Otates, Guanajuato, Mexico. Jose was united in marriage to Enedina (Sandoval) Fonseca on October 31, 1958, in San José de Otates, Mexico. They spent their lives raising a beautiful family and doing the things that they enjoyed until her passing in 2021. He enjoyed going on a lot of walks, loved sports (Go Dodgers!), watching novellas, drinking beer, sitting outside and looking at birds and enjoying nature, but above all, his favorite thing to do was visiting his family. He loved to joke around and was known for saying "Como Mango", "A puro tiro" and towards the end would say "Medio tiro". He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He will be missed dearly.

Jose is survived by his eight children; Rafael Fonseca, Jaime (Olga) Fonseca, Jorge (Tammy) Fonseca, Martin (Luz Maria) Fonseca, Carmen Fonseca, Juana (Chris) Fonseca, Jesus (Gabby) Fonseca and Ruben (Tonya) Fonseca, brother; Jose Fonseca, sisters; Maria, Angelina, Hermilinda and Rosa Fonseca, twenty-three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Jose is preceded in death by his wife; Enedina, parents; Agustin and Adela Fonseca and brother; Juan Fonseca.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the funeral home, 730 N Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI, 53121 at 2:00PM. A visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service.
