Joseph Don Henrie age 78 of Hebron, IL died December 4, 2022 at Northwestern Medical Center in McHenry, IL. He was born in Delta, Utah on January 13, 1944. The son of the late Joseph and Geraldine (Anderson) Henrie. On April 1, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah he was united in marriage to Jewell Jones.

He was a carpenter by trade and worked for many years as a construction superintendent. Don was an avid Chicago Bears fan, enjoyed building homes, and tending to the church welfare farm. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He loved sharing stories about his life's adventures.

Preceded in death by son Neil and sister Marie Wariner. He is survived by his wife Jewell and his children Brian (Juli) Henrie, Corey Henrie, Deborah McDaniel, Ginger (Ryan) Unger and Celestia (Kirk) Crawford, 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Brother to Ilene (Dan) Maurer, Brent Henrie, Vickie Crawford, Janet (Kevin) Christensen, Gaylen (Maureen) Henrie and Patricia (Roger) Bangerter. Brother-in-Law to Danny Wariner.

Funeral Service is Friday, December 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2016 Hartland Road, Woodstock, IL 60098. Procession and burial will follow to Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva, WI. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Church. Online condolences haaselockwoodfhs.com.
