Joseph C. Kostein age 89 of Genoa City, WI. died November 30, 2021.  He was born in Chicago, IL on May 16, 1932.   The son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Wittenberger) Kostein.   On April 28, 1956 at St. Leo Catholic Church in Chicago, IL he was united in marriage to Judith A. Pass who preceded him in death on October 30, 2009.  During his life Joseph served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and recently in 2018 was on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C.  He also served for many years on the Brookwood School Board.  Joseph liked going camping and was a train enthusiast.

Survived by his two children Jeff (Karla) Kostein of Genoa City, WI. and Janet (Michael) Hackbarth of Genoa City, WI.  Grandfather to Matthew Hackbarth, Jonathan (Caity) Hackbarth, Kaitlin Hackbarth, Bryan Kostein and Bradley Kostein.  Brother in law to Joan (Louis) Russo.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 18, 2021 at 12:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 113 Freeman St. Genoa City, WI. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.    The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until time of services at the funeral home.
