Josephine "Jo" Parus, age 99, of Wauwatosa, WI and formerly of Twin Lakes, WI, died Monday afternoon, June 18, 2018 at the Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa, WI. The former Josephine Metych was born on September 28, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Joseph and Julianna Kitrys Metych. On May 15, 1943 in Chicago, IL, Josephine was united in marriage to Raymond S. Parus. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1988. They moved from Chicago to Twin Lakes in 1952. Josephine graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with as Associates Degree. She worked for many years as a secretary for an Insurance Company. She enjoyed being in the outdoors and walking. She did needlepointing, quilting and doing crafts. Josephine is survived by: nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Mytych; 4 sisters, Mary J. Samarel, Sophie Metych, Agatha Kerridan and Stella Dzwierzynski. The Parus Family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial Burial at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at St. John's Catholic Church, 701 N. Lake Ave, Twin Lakes, WI. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to Love Remembers Campaign at the Lutheran Home 7500 W.
