Judith A. Johnsen, 83 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Mercy Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born June 12, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Alfred and Leona (Rose) Goller. Judy was united in marriage to Paul C. Johnsen on June 15, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI. She earned her master's degree in in Special Education and taught for many years in Illinois. After her retirement, Judy volunteered as a tutor with the Agape House in Walworth, WI, and was a volunteer reader in the Elkhorn School District. She was an avid reader.  Judy enjoyed quilting and made a quilt for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Southern Lakes Ev. Free Church in Elkhorn and served in the Women's Group and with the Women's group at the Glenview Ev. Free Church in Glenview, IL. Judy was a member of Gideon's Auxiliary. Paul and Judy traveled to the Czech Republic to teach English at a Christian Camp many times. She was a wonderful baker and enjoyed cooking. Judy was known for her almond cake. Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Paul, two sons; Olen (Amy) Johnsen and Kirk (Pam) Johnsen, eight grandchildren: Kelsey (John), Haley (Austin), Hannah (Nick), Eric (Megan), Rex (Claire), Tova, Hauken, and Kade, eight great-grandchildren and one more on the way, Cecila, Jillian, Finley, Everett, Lochlen, Arlo, Wesley, and Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wally Goller.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Southern Lakes Ev. Free Church, N6686 US Hwy 12 Elkhorn, WI. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at the church. Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
