IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith A.
(Holliday) May
August 22, 1936 – January 27, 2021
Judith A. (Holliday) May, age 84 of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Judy was born on August 22, 1936 to the late Bernard and Eve (Bleizeffer) Holliday in Chicago. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul May, on June 23, 1956 at St. Peter's Church in Spring Grove. They started an excavating company, Paul May & Sons, where Judy was involved in the operations for all 26 years. In her earlier years, Judy enjoyed expressing her creativity as a floral designer, traveling, and loved attending shows and concerts.
She was a strong mother, a nurturing grandmother, and the best Gigi around! Her heart sang every time she had the opportunity to be surrounded by us all. She never stopped encouraging us, but also never hesitated to remind us she was Mom and she knew best! We, as her family, are so blessed to have had her guidance to follow all these years, and now is our time to make sure we honor the legacy she left behind.
Those that had the privilege of knowing Judy know that she was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. She took pride in all her work and was a woman of many talents. We say that everything she touched turned to gold!
In this time of grief, we are reminded that she reached much beyond those in our immediate family. As people reach out to share their condolences, they honor her feisty spirit and her courage and strength through all things in life. Judy embodied that strength until the very end when the good Lord decided it was time to take her home.
Judy is survived by her children Mike (Patti) May, Chris (Tim) Coon, Tim May, and Jon May; 6 grandchildren, Katie (Jon) Murphy, Morgan (Kristi) May, Taylor May, Megan Coon, Mackenzie May, and Hunter May; 6 great-grandchildren, Lila, Melanie, and Breckan Murphy, Jackson, Rowan, and Bodhi May. She is further survived by her nieces, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Bonnie Popelka, and her son Nick May.
Haase Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Genoa City, WI is assisting the family with private arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
