Julie Ann Doucette, age 68, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 19, 1957, to the late David and Cecilia (O'Connell) Reindl. On August 27, 1977, she married the love of her life, Edward "Ed" Doucette, in Sun Prairie, WI, and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and family.

Julie had a heart made for caring. Known by many as the "neighborhood mom," she was always there to lend a hand, offer a listening ear, or share a few simple but powerful words of encouragement. She was the definition of love in action, thoughtful, generous, and endlessly kind.

Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandkids. She loved being their biggest fan and took so much pride in cheering them on at their games, choir concerts, and plays whenever she could. Julie also found joy in life's simple pleasures, tending to her garden, baking something sweet to share, or sewing thoughtful gifts. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Her laughter could fill a room, and her warmth left a lasting mark on everyone she met. Julie will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ed Doucette; her children, Dawn (Jayy) Ellis, Amy (Don) Reier, and Brenda (Brian) Storey; and her beloved fur baby, Pete. She is also survived by her siblings, Mae Seib, Diane Reindl, Vince (Kelly) Reindl, Bill Reindl, Rita (Scott) Gregory, Monica Tennie, and Jeff (Marcy) Reindl; her grandchildren, Abby (Coleman), Ashlynn, Liam, Gretchen, Johann, Annette, and Ednah; and her great-grandchildren, Calvin and May.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, David and Cecilia Reindl; her son, Gregory Doucette; her godfather, Don Reindl; her brothers-in-law, Doug Seib and Bill Tennie; and her beloved fur babies, Riley and Lucy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, WI 53121. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
