June E. Deihs, 83 of Kenosha, WI formerly of Elgin, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Acute Care Atrium in Williams Bay, WI surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on April 28, 1932 in Plato Center, IL the daughter of the late Bernhard and Frieda (Verbeck) Rabe.  June grew up on her family farm in Plato Center, IL.  She was the valedictorian of her high school graduating class.  June was a homemaker and raised four children.  After raising her children, June had a career at the Elgin Courier News with the advertising display group for over 10 years. She was an active member at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Elgin where she served as the President of the Ladies Guild.  June was an avid gardener, loved to cook and bake and enjoyed interior decorating.  She is survived by her three sons: David of Elkhorn, WI, Dennis of Elgin, IL and Don of Lakewood, IL, eight grandchildren; Dennis Jr., Jackie, Adam, Kelly, April, Elisabeth, Alycia, Anthony Shiffra, eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Joyce Volkening.  June was preceded in death by her daughter; Darlene, two brothers, Clarence and Ralph, and her former husband, John.  Private family service will be held at a later date.
