Katherine D. Bauer-Polanek age 63 of Genoa City, WI (Nippersink) died Tuesday morning June 17, 2014 at the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.
The former Katherine Delia Bauer was born on October 26, 1950 in Illinois, the daughter of the late Stephen and Betty Ehlert Bauer. In 1999, Katherine was united in marriage to James Polanek. They lived in Woodstock, IL before moving to Genoa City in 1996.
Katherine formerly worked as a computer consultant for Snap on Tools, Chicago Rawhide, NAPA Auto, Rustoleum and Amoco Oil.
Katherine loved animals and photography. In 2003, she built her own website selling fine Portmeirion English China.
Katherine had a wonderful laugh and a beautiful smile. She enjoyed embracing the philosophy of "taking the road less traveled".
Katherine is survived by her husband-James and her pet parrot-Admiral Bird.
