Katherine "Kathy" S. Bakke

Katherine “Kathy” Bakke, 67 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Friday September 25, 2026, at her home. She was born December 20, 1958, in CA, the daughter of the late Darcy and Hazel (Weissgerber) Lothes. Kathy was united in marriage to Dean Bakke on June 6, 1989, in Kenosha, WI. She worked as a custodian for the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater for 27 years. Kathy enjoyed traveling, camping, and hiking with her family. She enjoyed baking. Kathy had a love for horseback riding, wolves, and Elvis Presley.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Dean Bakke, two daughters, Margo Lothes and Serena (Harold “Andy”) Converse, three grandchildren, Mitchel, Isaiah, and Namaine, one great-grandson, Prince, and four siblings, Don (Sandy), Marty (Sandy), Karen and Chris Lothes. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, John, Edward, and Fred.
