Katherine "Kit" D. Yates, 90 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Monday, October 16,  2023 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.  She was born January 28, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Harvey and Vernette (Wood) Schoen.  Kit was married to James Davidson and later went onto to marry James V. Yates.  She was a horticulturist and loved to tend and work in flower gardens.  Kit loved all of her dogs throughout her life, especially her miniature poodles and her shih tzus.

Kit is survived by her four grandchildren: Jennifer (Heath) Shown, Thomas (Laura) McDarrah, Valerie Davidson and James Davidson, four great-grandchildren: Kiana (Angelo), Hailey (Kyle), Liana, and James, two great-great-grandchildren, Emma and Jaxon, son-in-law, Michael McDarrah, daughter-in-law, Patricia Davidson, niece Donna Fuller, nephew, Greg (Lisa) Lonski, great-niece, Jessica Fuller, and two great-nephews, Josh and Jacob Lonski. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Yates, two children, Linda McDarrah, and James Davidson, sister, Delores Wilson and two nephews, Donald and Raymond Rack.
