On March 5th 2025, Kayla Castellano Maner passed away unexpectedly in her sleep.

Kayla, with her loud infectious laugh, lived her life loving her children Emanuel, Zoey, Madeline, & Greyson. Kayla's "home" was both in Florida and in Wisconsin. Kayla put herself through nursing school and passed her NCLEX, continued on to receive her Masters, and was working to complete her Doctorate. Becoming a Nurse and continuing her education was something she fought very hard to do and was rightfully very proud of.

Kayla's parents Mark & Dana Castellano & Kim are beyond proud of the woman, mother, girlfriend, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, friend, and Nurse Kayla was. Kayla's Mamaw, Clara Castellano Cook, wrote in a letter to Kayla "be what you want to be & make something of yourself & don't let anyone be mean to you." Kayla had already succeeded in honoring those wishes; with her beaming bright light, silly nature, "take charge" and get it done attitude, it was impossible not to love her! Her desire and drive to further her studies showed her determination and grit.

As everyone that loves her is saddened by her passing, please take comfort in knowing she is right now walking with her Mamaw and Papaw discussing all of her accomplishments, sharing all of her pranks, telling stories of how proud she is of her children, and laughing that laugh for all of heaven to hear.

Memorial Service will be 12:00PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI 53121.  Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
