Klaus O. Wellhausen, age 91, of Delavan, WI, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1931 in Hanover Germany, the son of the late, Ernst and Mariana (Dodegge) Wellhausen.

In his life, Klaus put his heart and soul into his work and his family. He took great pride while working at Wellhausen Masonry, but was especially proud being a loving husband, father, and Opa. He always made time to be at his kids and grandkids' sports, concerts, and graduations. Klaus seemed to always be enjoying life, which is why he was loved dearly by family and friends all over the community. While he was stationed in Germany serving in the in the U.S. Army, he met the love of his life, Ursula. After Klaus came home from the service, they were both united in marriage on November 22, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. They remained married and in love until his passing. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and coffee on the porch with whoever came to drop by and see him and Ursula that day.

Klaus in survived by his four children; Claus (Sarah), Rick, Kevin (Christina) and Kristi (Steven Haxton), his nine grandchildren; Gregery (Melanie), Amber (Kevin), Kendra (Mark), Trevor (Elizabeth), Jeremy (Suhana), Baylee (David), Brooke (Carson), Katharina (Gavin), Arianna, and Cobi, his four great-grandchildren; Jaiden, Leo, Kate and Adaline and very close friend of the family; Launi.

Klaus is preceded in death by his parents; Ernst and Mariana Wellhausen, his sisters; Maren and Elsa Marie, his daughter-in-law; Karen, and grandson; Jeff.

A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 1:00PM-4:00PM at the Funeral Home, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI, 53121. A Service will immediately follow at 4:00PM with Pastor Tom Dowling officiating. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI, is assisting the family.
