Lawrence E. "Chris"  "Lefty" Christensen, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, WI, with his daughter, Lori, by his side.  He was born November 4, 1925 in Dwight, IL, to Einar and Margaret (Broderick) Christensen.

Christ had a long struggle with Alzheimer's that stole his memories but not his loving spirit.

He was joyfully reunited with his son, Michael E. Christensen, his daughter, Sondra A. Toubus, who passed unexpectedly 5 days prior to his death and grandson, Brian Toubus.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Lori (John) Staunton of West Glacier, MT, grandchildren; Michelle (Chris) Banasiak, Erin (Brian) Black, John Michael Staunton and Daniel Toubus, and his great-grandchildren; Alexis and Christian Banasiak, Raymond and James "Jimmy" Black.

Private graveside services will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Justice, IL next spring where Chris and Sandy will be laid to rest with Michael E. Christensen.  Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
