Leland R. Holden age 68 of Elkhorn, WI died at Aurora Summit Hospital on Tuesday July 2, 2024 surrounded by his family.  Leland was born on September 19, 1955, son of the late Richard and Mary (Miller) Holden.  On November 12, 1984 Leland married Kelly Lubis, they spent their life together and until the time of her passing in 2019.  Leland was a retired crewman from the Town of Delavan public works department, he was a past member of the Delavan-Darien school board and the Delavan Elks club.  He spent many years in the past bartending at the Village Supper Club, and made many connections through that line of work.  In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hunting.  He was an avid Packer fan and watcher of sports, especially when it came to football and golf.  Above all of that, Leland was a story-teller extraordinaire, and selfless when it came to the care of others; he was also very patient, and brave.  He cared deeply for his family; and had a special place in his heart for his dog and best friend Archer.

Leland is survived by his children; Lindsay (John) Neighbors, David (Mindy) Holden; grandchildren; Grace, Ava, Chance, Autumn, Kirra; and sisters; Beth Holden and Kathy Focht.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and twin brother; Lowell Holden.

A celebration of life will be held at Boxed and Burlap 230 E. Walworth Ave. Delavan, WI from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday August 1st.  Flowers can be delivered to Boxed and Burlap on August 1st.  Memorial donations can be made in memory of Leland to the Lakeland Animal Shelter of Elkhorn, WI.  An online guestbook can be found at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
