Obituary

Lidia Irene Ziolkowski, 62, went home to the Lord on Friday, June 6, 2025. She is finally at peace after a long and difficult battle with multiple health issues that reduced her quality of life. Lidia was born on March 15, 1963, in Elkhorn, WI, to Stanislaw and Raisa (Schon) Ziolkowski. She grew up in Pell Lake with two brothers and graduated from Badger High School. She was proud to be fluent in speech and writing in both Ukrainian and Polish. Lidia was interested in world cultures and events and enjoyed writing letters back and forth with pen pals all over the world, forming long-lasting friendships. A Ukrainian Orthodox, Lidia's faith was paramount, and she walked with God each day of her life. If she couldn't attend worship services in person, she took the time to worship at home. Lidia was a woman who enjoyed the simple things in life and could almost always be seen with a smile on her face. She had a goofy sense of humor, loved the Little River Band and Indianapolis Colts, and enjoyed drawing, knitting, and spending time with family.

Lidia is survived by her son, Ian Geiss; grandchildren, Autumn, Robert, and Thomas Geiss; brothers, Alex Ziolkowski and Vic (Kim) Ziolkowski; as well as many nieces and nephews. In death, she is reunited with her parents.

A celebration of Lidia's life will be held in the future. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa City is honored to serve the Ziolkowski family.
