Linda L. Kelly, age 85, of Elkhorn, WI, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 27, 2024, after a recent diagnosis of glioblastoma.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 25, 1939, to the late Joseph and Marie (Halter) Learman. Linda was united in marriage to her husband, Tom, on September 12, 1959, in Niles, IL. Together, they created a beautiful life and family. Linda will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the strength that she showed during difficult times. She dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays in her home, creating wonderful meals and memories. Tom and Linda celebrated their 65th wedding Anniversary on September 12, 2024.
Linda is survived by her loving husband and soulmate of 65 years, Thomas P. Kelly, Sr; children, Kathleen M. Kelly and Christopher P. Kelly (Lori Majewski); grandchildren, Thomas Patrick Kelly III (Katelyn), Meghan Creath (James), Kathryn McNeil (Kyle), and Ryan Patrick Kelly (Talia). Great-grandchildren include Wade and Elaine Kelly; Cooper and Calvin Creath; Russell and Corrine McNeil; her sister, Laurie (James) Pingitore; and her Yorkie puppy, Penny.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Learman; son, Thomas Patrick Kelly, Jr; brothers Fred and Joseph Learman, Jr.
A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 4-7pm at The Rusty Nail, 4520 Ringwood Rd, Ringwood, IL 60072.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at St. Croix Hospice, Delavan, WI, and the Elkhorn Fire Department paramedics for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Linda in her final weeks.
