Lois L. Fairchild, 95, of Ridgestone Terrace Elkhorn, WI died unexpectedly Monday February 26, 2018 at her apartment.  She was born February 10, 1923 in Lake Geneva, WI the daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Leone G. (Travis) Twist.  Lois was united in marriage to Daniel M. Fairchild in Dubuque, Iowa on December 20, 1941.  Daniel died June 22, 2007.  Lois was Administrative Assistant to the Director of Health and Human Services for Walworth County for over 20 years retiring in 1982.  She enjoyed playing cards and quilting, and was a member of the Calvary Community Church of Williams Bay, WI.  Lois was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family who includes her son: Burton Daryl (Nancy) Fairchild of Woodbury, MN, eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, her sister, Nancy Koch of Milwaukee, WI, her brother Dean Twist of California and by two sisters-in-law: Jo Twist of Green Bay, WI and Marilyn Twist of Suburban Chicago, IL and by a host of other relatives and friends.  Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years, Daniel, son; Wayne and her siblings; Laurel, Delos, Laverne, Ardell and Herbert.   Funeral service will be 12:00 PM (Noon) Friday March 2, 2018 at Calvary Community Church N2620 Harris Road Williams Bay, WI with Rev. Charles Cervenka officiating.  Visitation will be at church from 10:00 AM until time of services.  Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery Lake Geneva, WI.  Memorials may be made in Lois's name to the church.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn.
