Lois A. Brellenthin, 83 of Elkhorn, WI, died Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Ridgestone Gardens in Elkhorn, WI.  She was born June 13, 1936 in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter to the late Jost and Marion (Weeks) Petrie.  Lois graduated from Elkhorn High School with the Class of 1954.  She was united in marriage to Darrell D. Brellenthin on September 11, 1954 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, WI.  Darrell preceded her in death on April 19, 2017 after 62 years of marriage.    They were both active members at St. John's Lutheran Church.  Lois was a devoted Christian with an extremely deep faith and was member of the altar care and women's circle. She was an avid reader.  Lois also enjoyed gardening and taking long walks with her many beloved dogs.

Lois is survived by her seven children; Mark (Belinda Beckner), Dan (Deborah Knoll), Mike (Donna), Tim (Raelee), Jody (Perry Hansen) Southern, Kurt (Gina) and Jon (Verna) Brellenthin, many, many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darrell and two brothers; Willard (Doris) Petrie and Donald (Lila) Petrie.

Funeral service will be 11:00AM on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 104 S. Broad St. Elkhorn, with Pastor Tom DeGroot officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00AM until service time at church.  Interment will follow services at Springfield-Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church.
