Lois Marie Wendorf age 90 of Elkhorn, WI died at Vintage on the Ponds on July 12, 2024.  Lois was born on October 15, 1933, daughter of the late Carl and Hazel (Tharinger) Amon.  Lois married Harold Wendorf on November 20, 1954 and they spent their lives together until the time of his passing in 2015.  At the age of 22, Lois took on a job at Wolf Jewelry Store, and stayed there through their ownership change to Biederman Jewelry, finally retiring at the age of 82.  Lois loved her gardens, she had many throughout her property where she grew wildflowers and tended to the birds and other animals that visited her property.  She also enjoyed puzzles and worked on the newspaper crossword puzzles every day.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold; sister-in-law, Karen Amon; brother-in-law, Charles Grant; and niece, Kelly Amon.  She is survived by her brother, Doug Amon; sister-in-law, Betty Grant; nieces and nephews, Ted Grant, Patty Stern, Betsy (Tom) Johnson, Connie Amon, Kim (Tim) Graham; and a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church 104 S. Broad Street Elkhorn, WI 53121 on Monday July 22, 2024 at 11:00AM.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Lois' name to the church.  An online guestbook for Lois can be found at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Lois' arrangements are under the direction of Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
