Lonnie Mitchell Evans, age 76, of Williams Bay, WI, and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 20, 2024. Son of the late Max and Helen Evans, Lonnie was born on February 26, 1948. Lonnie was born in Chicago and moved to Norridge, IL where he graduated from Ridgewood High School. During his life, Lonnie worked as a realtor and was an avid hockey and baseball player. On August 22, 1993, Lonnie was united in marriage to Patricia Theresa Lewen in Edison Park, IL.

Lonnie was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend known for his kind and goofy personality. He enjoyed music (especially The Beatles and The Beach Boys), TV sitcoms, sports, and chocolate! He loved anything Chicago, including the Blackhawks, White Sox, Chicago Dogs from Bob-O's, and Italian beef sandwiches (dipped). Lonnie passed on his love of Chicago to his children.

While living in Williams Bay, Lonnie loved spending time at the lake, sitting in his backyard enjoying nature, and being surrounded by his family and dogs. Lonnie was an extremely loveable person, and his family and friends will miss him every day.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Patricia Evans; children, Tracy, Bret, Jason, Jenna, and Sarah Evans; granddaughter, Natalia; sister, Beverly (Lew) Nicholson; brother, Jimmy Evans; and nieces and nephews, Cody, Christopher, Zachary, and Danielle. In death, Lonnie is reunited with his parents, Max and Helen Evans; and sister, Gail Evans.

A celebration of life will be held by the Evans family at a later date. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI is honored to serve the Evans family.
