Marabelle E. Mowery age 81 of Elkhorn, WI died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Ridge Stone Terrace of Elkhorn. Marabelle was born on April 27, 1933 on the Alma Bluff in Buffalo County, WI. She was the the daughter of the late Wilmer and Lillian Korb. She was united in marriage with William J. Thaldorf on May 10, 1952. They were married until William's passing in 1983. She married James Mowery on September 8, 1990. Marabelle was very involved with hobbies and volunteer work, some which include; knitting, gardening, sewing, cross stitching, embroidering, baking and cooking; she was a former 4H leader, and a Sunday School teacher at Peace Lutheran of Wautoma, WI; and she also volunteered time at Christ Lutheran School in Cochrane, WI, and at Ye Old School House in Buffalo City, WI. Marabelle was preceded in death by her first husband William; brothers; Stanley, Oliver, and Leslie; and sisters; Dorothy and Marjorie. Marabelle is survived by her second husband James; three children; Brian (Lisa Andresen) Thaldorf of Viroqua, WI, Kimberly (Mark) Schroeder of Wausau, WI, and Holly (Craig) LaPlante of Long Grove, IL; four step children; Bruce (Debbie) Mowery, Alan (Diane) Mowery, Paul Mowery, and Amy (Michael) Beauchmin; eight grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Darlene Loretz. Services for Marabelle will take place at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Elkhorn, WI on Saturday, January 31 with visitation from 12pm to 2pm and the Funeral Service following immediately at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Marabelle's name to the First Evangelical Lutheran School.
