Margaret R. Arndt, born on February 17, 1939, in Zion, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, in Waterford, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Margaret (Miklik) Bunge.
Margie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be remembered for her loving and generous spirit. She was known for her sense of humor and the cherished moments she shared with her family. Margie had a deep love for all creatures, finding joy in caring for the wildlife around her home and assisting her daughter at dog shows. She especially treasured her pets, who provided her with comfort, companionship, and endless joy throughout her life. She also adored the time spent with the Arndt family at Big Stone Lake, creating fond memories that will be long remembered by all who knew her.
Margie was preceded in death by her husbands, Andrew Tentes, Tony Karas, and Bennett Arndt; her brothers, William and Daniel Molendi; and her sister, Cora Chmiel. Her legacy continues through her devoted family, who hold her memory close to their hearts. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Wilson (Robert), Jeri (David) Erickson, and Amanda (Adam) Jarr; and her sons, James (Michelle) Tentes, David Karas (Melissa), Rodney Arndt and Destry (Kari) Arndt. Margie also leaves behind her sister, Verna Faires, and her sister-in-law, Carol Arndt. She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, who were a cherished part of her life.
Margie's family includes grandchildren Terry Richardson, Adam Watts, Serena Wilson (Victor), Andrew Wilson (Krista), William Turner (Brittney), Sarah Ellison (Ben), Kelly Ryan (Andy), Ryan Karas, Matthew Karas (Kiersten), Fernando Arndt, Christopher Arndt (Katie), Laura Arndt (Brian) and Kurtis Arndt as well as her great-grandchildren Anaya, Mila, Jovani, Isla, Parker, Myles, Elmer, Nash Owen, Grace, Ava, Henry, Isaiah and Elijah.
A visitation will be held in her honor on January 16, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 6 PM. Both events will take place at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 620 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
Margie's presence will continue to be felt by her family and friends, who will always remember her with love and admiration. Her kindness, dedication, and warmth have left a lasting impression, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
