Mark W. McDonald, age 65 of Elkhorn, WI died at home on Saturday February 15, 2025.  Mark was born on March 29, 1959, son of the late Maurice and Sylvia (Welch) McDonald.  Mark was born and raised in Elkhorn, WI and grew up in the automotive salvage business, D & E Auto, a business that he eventually took over.  On August 16, 1986 Mark married Julie Adams in Lake Geneva, WI.  They together were raising their six children until the time of her sudden passing in November of 2005.  Mark held a high interest in history, he enjoyed going to museums when he had the chance, and spent a lot of time watching the History Channel.  When it came to outdoor activities, Mark enjoyed hunting in his younger years, and he enjoyed fishing on Lauderdale Lake.  Mark had a love for sports, including football, basketball, and baseball.  He coached basketball for each of his children and many in the community.

Mark is survived by his children; Cole, Micaela (Alex) Bondar, Sydney, Ian, Quinlan, and Chloe McDonald; sisters; Twila Voss, Dawn (Scott) Rhyan; grandchildren; Nora, Wade; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; Julie; and brother-in-law; David Voss.

Mark's family will be hosting a celebration of life at Hawks View Golf Club 7377 Kruger Road Lake Geneva, WI on Saturday April 5th 2025 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mark's name to St. John's Lutheran Church 104 S. Broad Street Elkhorn, WI 53121.
