Mark J. Prellberg passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on August 3, 1969 in Park Ridge, IL. The son of John and Jean (Farley) Prellberg. Mark will be remembered with love for the many joys he brought to the people around him and for the interests and pastimes that made him so distinctly himself.

Mark enjoyed fishing and found happiness in the simple pleasure of time spent on the water. He loved watching sports, especially cheering on the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Blackhawks. He also played 16-inch softball with family and friends, creating memories through competition, laughter, and time together. Mark collected baseball cards, was a monster truck enthusiast, enjoyed playing board games and working on puzzles. These interests reflected his spirited personality and the enthusiasm he brought to everyday life.

A special and cherished chapter of his life was his marriage to Stacey on August 20, 2022. Their time together was held close in his heart, and their marriage remains a treasured memory for those who loved them both.

Mark is survived by his wife, Stacey Prellberg (nee Chase); his daughters, Jessica (Craig) Lipp and Morgan Prellberg (Adam Nicholson); and his stepchildren, Paige Moritz and Cameron Moritz. He was also a proud grandfather to Aiden Rous, Parker Rous, Trevor Rous, Easton Lipp, Walker Lipp, Elijah Prellberg, Nora Nicholson-Prellberg, and Kyle Nicholson-Prellberg. Step-grandfather to Nicolas Soto.

He is also survived by his father and mother, John and Jean (Farley) Prellberg; his siblings, Don Prellberg and his wife Amy, Rhonda Huber and her husband Steve, and Todd Prellberg and his wife Tricia. Mark was a beloved uncle to Abbey, Allyson, Matthew, Taylor, Tanner, Tori, and Tessa. His Mother in law Linda Chase. He will be remembered warmly by his family and friends, whose lives were enriched by his presence.
