Obituary

Elkhorn: Martin " Bud" Charles Sittler: 77, of Loveland Road Elkhorn, WI died Thursday August 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1937 in Aurora IL the son of the late Edward and Bernadine (Kocher) Sittler. Bud served in the US Army. Bud enjoyed farming and for many years worked with Dave Mathesius with the spring planting and fall harvest. Bud worked for Hub Blacktop of Elkhorn for several years and was a patrolman with the Walworth County Highway Department for over 23 years retiring in 2000. Bud was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Elkhorn, Knights of Columbus Council # 3464 and served as the Grand Knight in 1979, He served on the cemetery board for Mt. Olivet Cemetery. He enjoyed snowmobiling, ATVs and camping in the past years he really enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. Bud is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving family which include his 3 children: Cindy (Bruce Troxel) Sittler of Sun Prairie, WI, Diane (Randy) Papcke and Charles (Fiancé©e Melisa ) Sittler both of Elkhorn, WI, Four Grandchildren; Derrick, Skyler Papcke, Heather and Brandon Sittler. Five sisters; Jean (Norm) Brummel of Elkhorn, WI, Dolly (Robert) Steinhouse of Virgil, IL, Florence "Sis" Wiesbrook, Lois (Wayne) Konicek both of Yorkville, IL and Kathy (Dudley) Markham of Menomonie, WI, Two sisters-in-law; Fran Sittler of Newark, IL and Jeannie Sittler of Estero, FL and by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Bud is preceded in death by a sister Patricia VanDerwiel and two brothers Ronald "Red" and Art Sittler. Funeral service will be 11:30 AM Monday August 18, 2014 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Burial will be at Springfield Union Cemetery Springfield, WI. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
