Elkhorn: Marvin G. Walbrandt, 83, of Hodunk Road Elkhorn, WI died Saturday February 7, 2015 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Home Union Grove, WI. He was born July 1, 1931 in Elkhorn, WI the son of the late Glenn and Elsie (Schinke) Walbrandt. Marv graduated from Elkhorn High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to the former Joyce I. Kyle on June 26, 1954 in Elkhorn, WI. Joyce died July 19, 2006. Marvin farmed in the Town of LaFayette for over 55 years. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Elkhorn, WI, member of the Elkhorn American Legion and VFW Post # 6375. Marv was an avid hunter. He is survived by his five children; Steven (Mary), Daniel (Peggy), Brian, Philip (Judy) Walbrandt and Pamela (Jeff) Liner all of Elkhorn, WI, nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Lorraine (Don) Wuttke and Sandra Walter both of Elkhorn, WI. Marv was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 52 years Joyce and one brother Virgil. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday February 14, 2015 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI with Rev. David C. Rau officiating. Burial with military rites by Elkhorn VFW Post #6375 will be at White Oak Cemetery Town of LaFayette. Visitation will be Friday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
