Mary "Mimi" Ann Hartigan, age 70, of Elkhorn, WI, died on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Lakeland Health Care Center. Daughter of the late Robert and Betty Hartigan, Mimi was born on December 1, 1952, in Chicago, IL. Her father passed away when she was very young, and her mother was later remarried to Mimi's stepfather, Jim Polyock. She graduated from Big Foot High School in 1970, and attended several semesters of college. Mimi had a big heart that held room for all kinds of animals, but she especially loved Arabian horses, which she showed throughout her life, and her Bouvier de Flandres dog. She used to travel to Hong Kong to bring back beautiful fabrics used to create riding clothes. Mimi managed the Zenda Lumber Company, owned by her stepdad, Jim, for many years. Mimi was a 27-year resident at Lakeland Health Care Center after suffering a stroke at a young age and requiring special care and assistance. She was well-loved by all the staff and residents at Lakeland during her time there.

Mimi is survived by her loving cousins, Judy (Tom) Hellgeth and Kathy (Chuck) Miller. In death, she is reunited with her mother, father, and stepfather, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
