Mary E. Kunzer

Mary E. Kunzer, age 73, of Delavan, WI, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026. She was born on June 23, 1952, in Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Marie (McDonald) Wavrunek. She was united in marriage to her husband, Jim Kunzer in March of 1985 in McHenry, IL. They were married for 32 years before Jim’s passing in 2018. During Mary’s free time, she enjoyed quilting. When she was younger, she loved photography and drawing. In retirement, she found her peace living up north and sitting on her porch, watching the wildlife and enjoying nature. She loved spending time with her family the most. She will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her children, Kyle (Mandy) Kunzer, Jason Messner, Karly Kunzer Long and Jamie (Cyndi) Kunzer; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Melanie, Ryan, Cameryn, Brody, Charlie and Audrey; sister, Susan Ziegler-Harper; sisters-in-law, Barbara Byron and Jean Samen; brother-in-law Ken (Kathi) Kunzer.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents, John and Marie Wavrunek; sister, Sandra Martenson and brothers, John “Rick” Wavrunek and Paul Wavrunek.
